Vtg Pair Of Soda fired Hand Thrown Ceramic Pottery Vase In Tones Of Blue

Vtg Pair Of Soda fired Hand Thrown Ceramic Pottery Vase In Tones Of Blue & Hint Of White Signed By Artist This stunning two piece set is from our large collection of vintage pottery and ceramic art. The small piece has a pear shaped base: 5" tall with a 2" opening. A beautiful and unique shape. The taller piece is 6" tall with a heavily glazed opening that is 3" wide. The base of each piece is signed by the artist and a yellow "circlar protector" is on each one. The signature is bit hard to discern. Each piece is in excellent condition. Soda firing is an atmospheric firing technique where "soda" is introduced into a kiln when it's at temperature. The soda vaporizes and is carried on the flame throughout the kiln. The soda vapors create a glaze when it lands on a piece for unique effects. Please see the photos to complete the description.
