This delightful hand sculpted portrait bust of fired terracotta dates to the 1980's and measures 6 3/4" tall x 6" wide (ears) x 4 1/2 base and is fully signed and inscribed on the bottom (sgraffito), J Verissimo Garanhuns PE as pictured. There are NO cracks, chips or losses or repairs. 1953 has lived in or around Garanhuns for all of his life and is self taught. His works are highly sought by collectors and earlier examples such as this seldom come to market.
