Van Briggle Lorelei Vase in Ming Blue, Art Nouveau Aqua Art Pottery, USA Ceramic

Stunning Van Briggle Lorelei vase in the iconic Ming Blue satin matte finish. My photos can't begin to do justice to colors and the satiny feel of the finish. The details is subtle but striking (I'm particularly taken with the small foot).

One of the many cool things about Van Briggle pieces is that no two are identical. The same mold is used, but then the details are hand etched and the colors are hand sprayed. I think this one has near perfect balance of deep blue accents to the aqua green base.

The vase measures about approximately 10.25" high, about 4.5" at its widest diameter, and weighs just 2lbs 7oz. No chips, cracks, or crazing. A few small dark smudges (pic 7) and a production pit (pic 8). Be sure to zoom in on all of the photos.

The bottom is hand incised the double A logo, "38, " "Van Briggle, Colo Spgs" and an ink II. The number is the finisher's code and the ink mark is the glazer code.
