Van Briggle Art Pottery 12 Dragonfly Bowl Shape 903E w/ 3-Frogs Flower Frog. This is a wonderful old Van Briggle Art Pottery. Bowl with a turquoise glaze oversprayed with light blue. I believe this is shape 903E with 5 dragonflys around the bowl.

It has a buff or sandy colored bottom with a couple of small spots of glaze residue. I think this piece was probably made from the mid 1930s to the mid 1940s. I believe the frog is original to the set. The colors are a very close match.

The bowl is in Excellent, Vintage condition, with no nicks, chips, cracks, scratches or repairs. There is one, pin-head size glaze pop near the base at the side of one of the dragonfly's tails (shown). The frog is also in excellent condition with no nicks, chips, cracks or repairs. There are some VERY light mineral stains on the frog that may be seen with careful inspection.

The bowl is 12" in diameter and about 3-1/4" tall. The frog is 5" in diameter and about 2-1/2" tall. Prepacked weight is 7 lbs. As shown, the bowl has the engraved AA logo plus Van Briggle Colo.

I do not know what the X indicates. The frog is marked with the logo only. Please ask if you have questions.
