Rose Cabat'Feelie' Vase Creamy White Onion. Feelies have a unique soft satin velvety glaze and are highly sought after by collectors. 2.75" h x 2.25"w x 2.25d approximately. I personally don't see anything wrong with it but please review all photos and ask any questions before purchasing b/c all sales are final and I'm not an expert on her pieces. I'm happy to send more photos if needed.
There is a small imperfection in the glaze on one side where it gets thinner. Definitely not damaged and actually my favorite part. Rose Cabat is well known for her porcelain Feelies, very narrow-necked vases with her own distinctive satin matte glazes. Rose is one of the very few studio potters with both a national reputation and international exhibition credits. Rose and Erni Cabat moved to Tucson, Arizona in the late 1940s from the Bronx, New York.Rose - a studio potter - was part of the Arizona Designer Craftsman movement. She perfected her'Feelies' (most often in the shape of weed pots) and was / is collected internationally. Her glazing techniques remain a mystery. She passed away in January 2015 at the age of 101.
