Here is a beautiful Rookwood Pottery iris glaze vase decorated by Rose Fechheimer. It has swirling design of a white lily and leaves against a shaded green gray ground on a baluster form. It measures 8 1/2 inches tall and 2 3/4 inches in diameter at the widest. Marked with the RP die-stamp, IV for 1904, shape # 949 D, a "W" for white clay the Iris glaze designation, and a con-joined R. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, firing flaws, or repairs, and only the typical crazing.
