ROOKWOOD ARTS & CRAFTS Z-LINE 16 VASE IN ROSE OVER MATTE GREEN GLAZE d1914 MINT. This impressive Rookwood Z-Line-style vase stands a monumental 16" high by 7" in diameter. It has a handsome full-bodied form, with a short collar. It is nicely carved with a Z-line decoration on the upper third of the vessel.

It is glazed in a rose over rich medium matte green glaze. This vase is well marked and dated 1914, from the heart of the Arts & Crafts movement.

It is in original mint condition, with an'x' on the bottom, often indicative of a flaw, or a special piece made for a visitor to the pottery. We suspect the latter as we see no reason for an'x'.
