Creamer was made by a French pottery located in the region of Quimper, and called HB Henriot. There is a hand-painted word Odetta on the base--along with the number 1146. Probably dates to the 1930s. Art Deco shape, with a geometrical handle.
Although there are the usual irregularities in color, surface texture, and so forth that Quimper Odetta collectors expect, this piece is factory new. Beautiful hand-painted male and female faces, and a lush glazing. I'm Mark Bassett, author and collector of art deco pottery, as you can see by my other offerings this week. You can meet me on Facebook, where I frequently recommend the group Pottery Collector.Great place for beginners and advanced collectors to mingle and learn more about all sorts of art pottery. As an American Art Pottery Association (AAPA) member, I abide by their Code of Ethics. Please let me know within 3 days, if you want to return the piece.
