Art Pottery-Ceramic 1930's Portuguese Decanter-Ewer Etched Unique Nice Condition, functional piece. 1930's, early 40's Portuguese Wine Decanter-Ewer Etched Unique Nice Condition, we have owned for 30+ years, forgotten where we got it, haven't used for wine in years still smells a little like a "Chianti"lightlybut can be washed! In excellent shape, nicely etched with unique flowers, etc.. Nice even black glaze over what looks like white clay to us.
Used to have a maker/name sticker, but lost to time. No chips, cracks, damage, repairs, a few smudges, a few scuffs on bottom from use (long ago) all & all a very pretty functional unique Art Pottery piece, we have never seen another! Measures: 10.5 inches tall, 9 inches deep not counting the bottom bowl Holds quite a bit of wine, 7 inches at widest point w-6 inches of roundness inside, top spout to rim is 2.75 inch, throat is 4.25 inches of total, rolls under to a 4.25 rimmed base, scuffs no damage to bottom rim either!
