It is made of Raku fired black clay with an energetic & joyous abstract glaze. Impressed JD mark on base. He earned a BA from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, in 1967, an MA from Exeter College, England, in 1971, and an MFA from Clemson University, South Carolina, in 1973.
