Mid-Century Modern Inge-Lise Koefoed Royal Copenhagen Aluminia Vase. This wonderful Scandinavian tall modern vase is by Royal Copenhagen artist Inge-Lise Koefoed. Her bold blue and burgundy totem design is a statement piece for mid century modern, Scandinavian and contemporary decors.
Inge-Lise Koefoed was a member of the talented artist team creating Royal Copenhagen's well known stoneware and faience series during the 1960's and 1970's. She was one of six young female artists from Denmark, Norway and Sweden who Nils Thorsson recruited in 1958 to create this new style. This vase is part of the Tenera series.
The small mark under the "N" in DENMARK indicates manufactured in 1965. The marking shows that the vase is shape #3101 designed by Nils Thorsson. The artistic pattern is pattern 182. The painters initial is to the right of the numbers and the artists signature mark is at the bottom. Thank you for the consideration.
