There was no second guessing loving this piece when we stumbled onto it. A beehive like organic shaped pottery vase from 1980, signed and dated on the bottom. This could be the name of the artist, or it could be the word, which means: "figurative or metaphorical use of a word or expression".
The vase is light in weight when you pick it up, and even feels like a beehive from a weight perspective. It feels like layers of paper were laid on top of each other. It weighs 3 lb 2 oz only. Another lovely aspect to point out is the glazing. It's clear to see the top opening is glazed, but also each one of those dots is a glaze, not holes.
And I would venture to guess they were applied one by one, not splattered-on; just from the consistency of their size. Dimensions: 8" Diameter x 9 1/2" H.
