Here you are viewing a absolutely gorgeous, handmade and hand painting old and authentic ceramic statue of art, enamel, with excellent glazed, refractory that was created in the year 1933 by the famous Greek artist Panos Valsamakis, one of the most important ceramist, of the 20th century. Ceramic tile of Valsamaki you can find, but a statue is difficult until to impossible to find.
(Note that, "Kerameikos" rom year 1942 up to 1946, they him occupied by the Germans, during the WW2 and had stopped his production). It is signed in Greek with the monogram of the artist and dated 1933 in the inside the base.Also inside the base there is an elliptical stamp of the factory "Kerameikos" SA. It depicts a young woman from a village with her traditional costume, holding a pitcher of water. Height 16.5 cm, weight 190 gr.
