A Vallauris French art pottery wall plaque Signed
A Vallauris French art pottery wall plaque. I can not decipher the signature.
1950's - 1970's. 20.5cm wide x 20.5 cm high x 0.9 cm deep. There is a small chip to the top left hand corner and an area of damage to a back edge. I have shown the areas of damage in the close up pictures. The plaque is decorated with a radiating blue sun design.It has a gloss blue glaze to the centre, a textured pale glaze and an area of wax resist decoration. It is signed to the bottom right hand corner'... I can not decipher the artists signature. The back of the tile is marked'Proceram Made in France'. It retains what I believe is its original plastic coated metal hanging fitting.
