We date the charger to the 1930s. The artwork features a slice of early Mexican life. There is an hombre with a basket on his back, two burrows with loads on their backs, two houses, stylized cacti and trees as well as a quetzal bird flying overhead.
There is a kaleidoscope of glaze colors. The background is a beautiful rich brown. Even the back features the brown glaze, a wire for hanging and a stamp that reads, Arias Made in Mexico. The piece is quite large measuring 18-inches in diameter. The charger is in very good condition with no breaks, cracks or chips. There are a couple of tiny glaze chips that are not really visible (see photographs).
