Impressive Art Nouveau Belgium French 18 inch moon shaped pottery vase luna blue
Seriously outrageous Belgian Art Nouveau Jugendstil Stoneware Pottery Vase in the shape of a crescent moon. Wonderful blue and green glaze with a yellowish glaze inside. Looks like chrysanthemum or poppy leaves on the sides. I've owned many examples (hundreds and hundreds of pieces) of this type of pottery and I've rarely found pieces with such unique form. That being said, they do exist and can be found... But These are very hard to come by. Case in point, I've owned this for at least 30 years... I bought it from a friend in Belgium while visiting and it has been in my private collection until the moment this listing goes live... All that to say this piece has never really been available on the market....
This one is bold and beautiful and truly a delightful addition to anyone looking to enhance the aesthetics of a living or working space. In fine conditions as seen in the pictures.
