Gorgeous Vintage Metlox Poppytrail Draft Horse Ceramic Arts Studio Rider Circus

This very large horse is almost 8 inches tall and 9 inches long and makes an impressive display. The young lady is actually a ballerina but looks to fit right into the circus rider scheme and as the added feathers on the horses headband is placed only with wax so is the rider both for easy removal should someone so wish to do so. They both have some crazing that does not detract and I only mention it because its there I do not personally see crazing on old pottery pieces such as this as a flaw.

These two came from two different pottery factories the horse from Metlox and the rider/ballerina from Ceramics Arts Studio both California companies and popular back in the 50s and 60s. The rider/ballerina has no damage I can see and the horse has had one leg glued back on the right front but it was nicely done and barely shows on display and would be worthy of restoring as these two makes a wonderful set. Or dont even worry about restoration the horse display beautifully regardless.
